Peer Pressure
Peer Pressure
Peer pressure is when your friends or people in your company try to make you do things that you do not want to do, are unsure of, or are not ready to do.
  • Try not to allow other people to make your decisions or to pressure you into doing things you do not feel comfortable with.
  • Be assertive!! This means being confident, speaking clearly, being sure of your reasons and not changing your mind if you feel it is the right thing to do.
  • For example, ‘no thank you-i don’t want any alcohol as i have a swimming competition tomorrow and i want to do well'.
  • If you decide not to drink alcohol, real friends should respect that decision.
  • There are lots of healthier & safer choices that do not involve drinking alcohol.
